Job Interview Questions and Possible Answers

Here are some of the most popular questions you may face while applying for administrative job in the UK:

What part of this job interests you the least?

I am not quite sure at this stage what exactly in this job I will be least interested in, as I will try to find enjoyment and fulfilment in every part of the job and through my working hours.

What makes you different from other candidates?

I am foreigner by birth and my mother thong is no English, which is somewhat disadvantage but also a great advantage at the same time. I am used to interact in different languages and people form different cultures. With Britain growing more and more multi-cultural, this may prove useful in dealing with clients.

When are you available to start?

Immediately

Is there anything that I have forgotten to ask you?

No.

If you could do anything in your career differently what would it be?

I don’t regret what I have done in the past and only look into the future. So I would do exactly the same, nothing different.

How do you handle authority?

Fine. I am quite good listener and very conscientious subordinate.

What would your colleagues say about you?

You should ask them. But generally they would say I am friendly but fair person.

How much money are you looking for?

Tell me about a time when you handled a difficult situation with a co-worker.

Tell me about a time when you were creative in solving a problem.

Tell me about a time when you missed an obvious solution to a problem.

Tell me about a time when you were unable to complete a project on time.

Tell me about a time when you persuaded team members to do things your way.

Tell me about a time when you wrote a report that was well-received.

Tell me about a time when you anticipated potential problems and developed preventive measures.

Tell me about a time when you had to make an important decision with limited facts.

Tell me about a time when you were forced to make an unpopular decision.

Tell me about a time when you had to adapt to a difficult situation.

Tell me about a time when you were tolerant of an opinion that was different from yours.

Tell me about a time when you were disappointed in your behaviour.

Tell me about a time when you had to deal with an irate customer.

Tell me about a time when you delegated a project effectively

Tell me about a time when you prioritized the elements of a complicated project.

Tell me about a time when you made a bad decision.

Tell me about a time when you turned down a good job.

What are people's greatest misperceptions about you?

Being friendly and polite sometimes people who don’t know me well think that I am submissive and could put up with everything.  I am very reasonable person and do not often argue with people, but if I  am sure I am right they will be surprised how firmly and argumentatively I can defend my position.

If I were to call your manager, what would he or she say is the one thing that you're relied on for the most?

Punctuality

If you had to do it all over again, what would your career choice be and why?

No regrets. I would do the same again.

If I were to talk with the people who know you best, how would they describe you?

Nice, talkative, friendly person.

Are you the right person for this job?

YES
